PERRYSBURG TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Timeless sounds from the legendary musical group Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young will fill the air at Owens Community College’s Center for Fine and Performing Arts as the tribute band Marrakesh Express takes the stage on Friday, March 2. The Marrakesh Express tribute band will perform in the College’s Mainstage Theatre at 8 p.m. The Owens Toledo-area Campus is located on Oregon Road in Perrysburg Township.
“Owens Community College is proud to welcome Marrakesh Express, widely regarded as one of the leading Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young tribute bands, to Northwest Ohio,” said Barbara Barkan, Owens Director for the Center for Fine and Performing Arts. “Attendees will be captivated by the group’s authentic four-part harmonious sound that brings to life the iconic group at the height of their stardom in the late 1960s.”
Marrakesh Express is known nationwide for its ability to bring to life the musical sound of the legendary group Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. Featuring four harmonizing vocalists and an accompanying band, Marrakesh Express performs an array of musical selections that topped the charts during the 1960s and beyond. Among the songs performed by the group are “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes”, “Ohio”, “Teach Your Children”, “Our House”, “Love the One You’re With” and “Marrakesh Express”.
The tribute group has showcased their musical talents and performed at venues nationwide, including at the Woodstock 40th Anniversary Tribute Concert in 2009.
