Information Technology Services has created a new communication tool we would like to share with everyone. Despite our best efforts, the College still experiences network, server, and system outages from time to time. In the past, we've received criticism for our lack of communication in these instances. To better serve you, we have developed a new status website to share upcoming scheduled maintenance, unforeseen server and network outages, and informational notices regarding our department.
Our new site is http://status.owens.edu. The site is hosted remotely and will continue to run regardless of any outages we experience here on our campuses. In addition to going to the website, you can also follow our updates on Facebook and Twitter. Any one of these methods will keep you better informed of everything happening in ITS. We have developed this system so that our administrators can directly share information with you and avoid waiting for assistance from support or web personnel. This will speed up communication and allow ITS to keep you informed even at night and on weekends.
