Ashley Donaldson: Displaced
Show Dates: January 22 – March 2, 2018

A Findlay native, Ashley completed a Bachelor of Music Education degree at Bowling Green State University before moving to London to attend Camberwell College of Arts for a Foundation Diploma. Upon completion, she remained in London for three more years, obtaining a Master of Music Education degree from Roehampton University.

While in London, Ashley exhibited work at London’s National Portrait Gallery as part of the social media-sourced ‘Pets in Portraits’ show. More recently, her art has been exhibited at Bluffton University, the Findlay Art League, the Red Tornado Gallery, and the Gateway Arts Council (Sidney, OH). Additionally, her artworks may be found in private collections throughout the USA, Canada, and Europe.

The work in this exhibition, Displaced, presents subject matter in a raw, detailed manner. The stories may not be apparent or expected at first glance, but a brief description opens the floodgates of history, detail, and background.
