Having acquired her disability later in life, losing her sight in her early thirties, Goodnight provides a unique perspective about living and working with a disability in the community.
With The Ability Center since 2007, she wears many hats. The hat she enjoys wearing most is that of “Speaker.” She loves sharing some of her journey in an effort to educate the community about people with disabilities.
Through her story and sense of humor, Goodnight encourages the audience to consider some of the issues faced by people with disabilities, while outlining many of the ways The Ability Center assists individuals with disabilities to remain independent and active in their community.
All are invited to this free event.
