Homegrownups is an indie rock band, founded in 2017 by four friends who met at the University of Toledo. Their music draws influence from bands like Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Killers, and The 1975. Their sound drew people in from their first gig.
Be sure to celebrate Christmas 2019 with us at Owens Community College. Familiar songs of the holidays will be presented including Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride”, “A Christmas Pageant Overture” and a “Merry Brassy Christmas “. Also performed will be marches, songs from “Mister Roger’s Neighborhood”, the patriotic “Lest We Forget”, and “Persuasion” featuring Alto Saxophone soloist Gary Herren. After the concert, free refreshments will be served in the Rotunda and contributions will be accepted by the Cherry Street Mission to help feed the homeless during the Christmas season.
Doors open at 5 p.m. Ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m.
